Founder Mychelle Crown has been a professional Bellydancer, Pilates/Fitness Instructor, Actor, Model, and Super Hero in Sacramento, CA since the early 2000's. Mychelle performs regularly at Kasbah Lounge and Yanni's Grill, and can often be seen at Fairytale Town as Wonder Woman for special events. Mychelle is a multi-award winning, internationally known Bellydancer, and produces regular dance showcases in Sacramento - including Sacramento's longest running dance variety show, Haunted Oasis. She is featured at dance workshops and events throughout the US, and is director of The Crown Jewels dance troupes.
Mychelle is passionate about movement and the community it creates. Her work is rehab and mobility focused, with emphasis on modifications for every body need and creating a lifelong love of the way your body feels when it's strong. We work on balancing our bodies and our minds, and staying mobile so we can do the things we love to do. Thrive Movement Arts is the culmination of Mychelle's two decades of work helping bodies heal throughout Sacramento. It is a space to find acceptance and joy in the way we move every day, and thrive.
