"The Perfect Shimmy... It’s About Time!"
Suitable for all levels
Shimmies are a basic and a must in Belly Dance, yet making them look Fabulous can sometimes be challenging. This workshop was designed to help dancers with timing, musicality, and technique of several different types of shimmies. Andalee will help your Shimmy Intellectually by breaking down the concept of time subdivision in music, then apply that to the hips in order to work up to and even and rhythmically correct shimmy by drilling Shimmy exercises. We will also attack how to add layers on top of your newly fabulized shimmy to create texture and contrast. Appropriate for ALL Levels. Leave this class longer sustained, even, and more easily layered Shimmies!
